The Precious Moments Production Marks

The annual production marks, imprinted on the bottom of the base of each Precious Moments figurine, denotes the year the figurine was produced and symbolises an inspirational message.  .

The value of a Precious Moments figurine is usually, but not always, slightly higher if you have the first year mark, meaning a figurine that was produced in its first year. This holds true with older figurines produced in the first decade, but isn’t nearly as important with figurines from more recent years.  Occasionally, the yearly production mark is missing from a figurine, which can impact its value, often favorably

  1. I have the clown 12238/A and it is dated 1984 but it has the butterfly mark not the cross. What does this mean ? Thanks

  2. 1984 is the year the figurine was first introduced/issued but the 1993 (butterfly production mark) is the year the figurine is physically made.

  3. I have a collection with no boxes. None of them have marks on the bottom but are printed with signature of Jonathan and David, then the year and title. All are Lic.Enesco imports. How do I find out the number on these? All are from 1977- 1979

    1. You have a nice collection, those unmarked figurine have a lot of valuable, but it's even more, if you have the original boxes. Go to the Precious Moments website and tell them about the pieces. They will help you.

  4. I have some pieces with double markings (Flag and sandal, 9/11 commemorative, and one with flag and cross in heart), as well as some duplicate figurines with different symbols for the same year (mostly 1990's). Does anyone know why they are double stamped and different? Thank you.
